OReillyNet (specifically Paddy Sreenivasan) has a nice article that really walks you through doing data backups for your classic ‘LAMP’ systems – basically, “here’s how to back up your database”.
That may seem kinda silly and redundant, but considering how many folks miss this step, I think it’s great to be able to point someone to a step-by-step to keep their systems running.
